Sundaram Industries established Viralimalai unit in the year 1982. TVS Coach Limited was formed in the year 1999 as a joint venture between Ashok Leyland and Sundaram Industries

IRIZAR TVS was formed in the year 2002 as joint venture of three equal partners viz., Ashok Leyland Limited, TVS and Sons Limited & IRIZAR, S. Coop, Spain. From June 2014 the company name was changed to GLOBAL TVS BUS BODY BUILDERS LIMITED and the joint venture is now between Ashok Leyland and TVS & Sons Private Limited.

GLOBAL TVS’s vision rests on three pillars – providing world class quality, delivering on time and maximising the economic advantage of large scale. Our integrated manufacturing facility at Viralimalai is built to optimise on all the three.

Our commitment to quality permits us to use only the latest and world-class facilities. The plant at Viralimalai is spread over a sprawling 1,90,000 sq. feet space that forms the backbone of the company’s bus manufacturing. With state-of-the-art plant, Manufacturing line, R&D and paint shop coupled with a modern warehouse, GLOBAL TVS has ensured that nothing but the best buses roll out.

Mile Stone

1982 – Viralimalai Plant was established by Sundaram Industries Limited.

1999 – Formation of TVS Coach Limited as Joint Venture between Ashok Leyland

and Sundaram Industries.

2002 – Formation of IRIZAR TVS Limited.

2014 – Name changed to GLOBAL TVS BUS BODY BUILDERS LIMITED.
